A serious lack of Jap car activity in Scotland saw the beginning of Clan Japan in September 2007. Driven by frustration, 3 like-minded friends; Lynsey Christie (Lynsey), Mike Christie (anotherblackpulsar) and Craig Matthew (Squeak of Squeak Design), decided to gauge interest in a non car specific club for Scottish owners by setting up a Clan Japan bebo group page. Due to demand a few weeks later the Clan Japan forum went live and quickly the club membership grew into the hundreds.
Lynsey's role within the team is Club Secretary & Treasurer, Mike's Trader Liaison and with his web design and IT experience, Squeak oversees all IT, design & merchandising.

Shortly after the forum went live we were joined by Scott Sharpe (Scoob), a regular to the Jap car scene and an experienced club area rep. Scoob quickly embraced the role of South West Area Rep & Events Organiser.
Next came Craig McCloy (interloper393), founder of Banzai Imports Craig has an impressive knowledge of Jap cars and has proved an integral member of the team. Craig is our South West Area Rep & Forum Moderator.

Sean Roddy (ssn11) was the next welcome addition to the team; Sean's enthusiasm for the club secured him the position of Central Area Rep & Forum Moderator, Sean continues increase club membership by active promotion in central Scotland.
Last but certainly not least the most recent additions to our team, Mark Elliot (BigE) and Steve Pringle (Stevie). Due to their dedication to the club and love for Jap cars, the boys were invited to join the team late 2008. They both share the title of Events Organiser & Forum Moderator.
