MANUFACTURER: Toyota
Engine: Goodness I have owned Beastie for 6 years now and it has not been an easy time. It is a bit of a love/ hate relationship for us I think. I have spent thousands on her and still feel that she is no more special than the next car! I am her second owner in the UK and through time I have discovered she has unusual sleeved block and a new cylinder head all in stock Toyota sizes. I have fully replaced her suspension with stock parts and when she blew up I decided to got for a FMIC and JE forge pistons. I have had 2 different boost controllers in the past 6 years but currently it is running actuator pressure at 0.8 bar and put out a comfortable 353bhp which is a 40bhp increase on the stock set up! So I am pretty happy. This is the car that was featured on ‘Fast and Furious in Fife’ about 5 years ago on BBC1. I have won many trophies both for showing and racing her including best Modified Car at Knockhill and Drivers Driver trophy at the GT4 Owner Challenge event. Beastie was also featured in Fast and Modified in 2007. I have competed in the Toyota Sprint Series and hope to do more next year. Obviously I will need to get a boost controller to get the boost to come in better and hopefully whoop some serious butt!!!!
